Metro Tartan commissioned an e-card to raise awareness about the coming film Oldboy.
Oldboy The Movie features a tape recorder as part of the story. We used the tape recorder in a Flash viral application for the Oldboy website.
The result is an eerie Flash ecard in which users can build a sentence from pre-recorded phrases and then send the message as an anonymous email to someone. It features a novel pre-emptive search mechanism to find words quickly and a simple sending mechanism.
It's both enjoyable and potentially disturbing. Much like the film.
