The best of both worlds
We built the Redman Design website to benefit from both the fluid enhanced user experience that Flash delivers and the search engine friendly benefits of an HTML site.
Redman Design are pleased with the way that the website is still accessible to users who do not or cannot use the Flash plugin. This is particularly applicable since some commissioning officers within governmental and council agencies have no control over the plugins installed on their browsers. If this website was Flash only - they would not be able to see the content.
We used cutting edge technology and best practice semantic code to engineer a website that delivers the best of both worlds. All users can enjoy the website regardless of their system setup and it's also heavily optimised for search engines.
We topped it off with a custom CMS enabling Redman Design staff to edit any of the content which is then automatically replicated across all versions of the website: Flash, Javascript enabled and semantic HTML.
No wait there's more... We also added browser history and deep-linking to the Flash site. Users can navigate forwards / backward within the Flash website using the browser history buttons. Pages deep within the Flash application can be bookmarked and viewed at a later time - just like a static HTML page.
If only all websites were built with this amount of care an attention to detail.
